We lead the way in building safe practices and working environments. We were the first in our industry to introduce scaffolding as fall protection for roof work. We continuously develop our occupational safety practices at the front line and implement the latest methods.
We also ensure occupational safety in the installation of drainage and rainwater systems by ensuring that the work area is clearly separated and kept clean and by complying with the safety standards for soil stability inspections and excavation protection.

Operating model in everyday life
We have defined procedures for all external situations and the company’s internal operations. These procedures are in line with the requirements from authorities.

We use a response model that identifies different exceptional situations, accounts for requirements from the authorities and defines concrete measures and communication principles.
Intervention practices
The practices include writing an account of the event, reviewing it and taking measures to make the changes concrete.
Monitoring and control
In addition to weekly occupational safety reporting, we make weekly site-by-site and unit-by-unit occupational safety observations.
The accident frequency has decreased by 28% over the past year.

Occupational safety in and around buildings
Vesivek uses scaffolding around the entire building for roof renovations. According to legislation, work platforms (scaffolding) are the primary and safest solution for fall protection. In addition to maximising safety, scaffolding also has other advantages.

- Work is faster and more efficient when unnecessary and unergonomic steps, reaching for things and other activities are removed form the equation.

- Scaffolding protects people from material falling off the roof, secures routes and protects furniture and plants next to the building.
- The durability and careful installation of gutters and roof safety products guarantees their long lifespan and functionality in all weather conditions. Vesivek’s work methods and products ensure the safety of people moving on the roof during construction and maintenance work, for example.
- Safety is also carefully considered in the installation of drainage and rainwater systems. During installation work, Vesivek’s professionals make sure that the work area is kept clean and unobstructed. Our employees also ensure that the construction site is clearly marked and separated in order to prevent various risks. The stability of the soil is carefully inspected during excavation work, and excavation protection follows safety standards.
