Ethical guidelines for Vesivek door-to-door sales
Vesivek’s ethical guidelines for door-to-door sales define the way we act in customer situations. Through these guidelines, we want to make sure that we always meet people with respect, attention and honesty – whether in their homes, on the phone and in any other situation. At the same time, we strive to influence the development of general practices in the industry in the interest of our customers. Everyone at Vesivek has been familiarised with the ethical principles and is committed to acting in accordance with them. We have also set out how to act if we see a lack of compliance.
How we encounter the customer
- Right at the beginning of the customer encounter, we introduce ourselves, the company we represent and its product.
- We are not intrusive or aggressive in our sales approach, but listen to the customer and their wishes.
- We only offer our products and renovation services for problems that clearly require solutions. We tailor our solutions to the customer’s actual needs and provide sufficient information on all possible options to support the customer’s decision-making.
- It is our professional duty to inform the customer if they are about to take unnecessary repair measures.
- Under no circumstances will we take advantage of a customer’s inexperience, illness, age or inadequate language skills.
- We always bear responsibility for the products and renovation services we sell to our customers and ensure that the work is completed in accordance with the contract, without delay and with due care.


How we act at the customer’s home
- Our sales staff, as well as the installers, must respect the privacy of the customer and their home in their operations and in the field.
- We will not undertake any sales or inspection activities or unnecessarily enter a customer’s home without the customer’s express consent.
- When we move within the customer’s home, we do not cause any unnecessary disturbance and we respect the customer’s wishes.
- We observe professional secrecy with regard to confidential information about the customer or their home.
- We will not leave any marketing or other material on the customer’s front door or other visible place on the premises without the customer’s consent.
We are open and honest in everything we do
- We follow good business practices in our operations and marketing.
- We keep our promises to each other, our customers and other stakeholders.
- We communicate our operations transparently and openly.
- The customer will be presented with all the information relevant to their decision-making. Product and price information is presented in a clear and understandable way.
- The person representing Vesivek will only share information and product information that is in line with the company’s policy.
